Animal Beauty

11 - 20 December 1998 & 11 - 31 January 1999

PAINTING - DRAWING - PHOTOGRAPHY - VIDEO - SCULPTURE - CERAMICS

To call a show 'Animal Beauty' might seem like a paradox, since for humans, to be 'animal' may not have anything to do with beauty. (To be 'animal' might give pleasure, but not necessarily beauty.) The point of this exhibition is not to refresh our minds about which animals are beautiful or, still less, what animal beauty is, but to make a play between artists who, in one way or another are 'interested’ in animals and the question of beauty.
